One of the most recognized symbols in the world is the cross of the Christian faith. The cross is a symbol that represents Jesus Christ, and his victory over death and sin. In the past, jewelry crosses were not widely worn, mostly as displaying yourself as a Christian would have led to persecution. Instead early Christians would have worn different, more subtle symbols such as that of a fish. Early Christian jewelry may also have had an anchor or a mariners cross.
